Windy City Mistake? No way!

This 3rd tattoo I got while in Chicago with Shelly & Zola around 2009ish. We all three decided to get one. Shelly got her first (a flower between her shoulders) and Zola got her eye-liner tattooed on.

Originally the guy did not want to put an outline around mine. He said it would look like a ‘sticker.’ So I let him finish it, knowing I would have to get it redone in the future. We were in a pretty shady area of town, so I didn’t want to ‘rock the boat’ and end up having my body identified in the morgue by a crappy half-assed tatt! lol.

A few months after the initial inking, I did have it redone and the outline added, which has improved it tremendously. I still need to have it touched up, just to make it crisper.

The wrist is pretty painful…more so than my foot was anyway. I thought I would never like it, but I’ve grown quite fond of it. Good thing, huh? LOL :)

My Favorite

My second tattoo is definitely my favorite. I got it on my right foot around 2006 at Vince Neil’s Studio in Las Vegas. It’s a heart with angel wings, devil horns and tail. I thought it described my personality…you just never know whether I’ll be nice or not. Either that or I just think it looked cool. My dad says it looks like a goose…and I suppose if you tilt your head to the right, it does in fact, look like a goose. Damn. lol. I still love it either way.

This is my first tattoo, on my left shoulder. I got it around 1998 (I think) while I was visiting Niagra Falls with my friend Nick. It’s supposedly Japanese letters/characters that mean ‘to live for today.’ Which was the perfect sentiment for how I felt about my life then, and now.
Although, while working at a horse farm/summer camp, a kid said that it was Chinese for ‘student’ but was upside-down! LOL. I guess that’s ok too, since I’m a teacher and we’re all ‘students in life.’
I still love it! :)

I want to hear your stories!

I really love hearing people’s stories about what their tattoo means or why they got it. So let’s share! I’ll be posting pics of my 3 current tattoos and any that may follow. Feel free to post pics of yours and tell who, what, where, when, how, etc… :)
